Mercedes Benz Fashion Week kicked off last Sunday and we've seen some incredible hair and makeup looks from some of the worlds top designers.
We're seeing a trend of minimal makeup for this year's MBFWA and the return of 'the day after' makeup look. We've also seen some fresh faced looks and some incredible hair styles.
Here's a wrap up so far of MBFW hair and makeup trends for 2016
MBFWA 2016: Maticevski
Toni Maticevski opened this year's MBFWA with a bang. Renya Xydis for Wella Professionals, created the hair look for the show, finding inspiration from Blade Runner. Think "Blade Runner, windswept".
The makeup was just as interesting with big spider lashes, natural glowing skin and a really natural nude lip. The makeup look being created by Creative Director for Maybelline, Nigel Stanislaus.
MBFWA 2016: Dion Lee
Dion Lee's makeup look was created by Victoria Baron for M.A.C, going for a relaxed "lived in" makeup look.
“We want the girls to be rather undone. The clothes are so strong and so beautiful that we want the girls to be strong in a 90s Stella Tennant way."
MBFWA 2016: Manning Cartell
Similarly to Dion Lee, this year's Manning Cartell makeup look was described as "the next day all nighter makeup". A big change from last year's glam look for MBFWA.
MBFWA 2016: Akira
The makeup look for Akira was created by Izumi Onuma for Bobbi Brown, drawing inspiration from the modern day Japanese woman.
With a fresh face, a punchy red lip and a crease cutting white eyeliner this look is one of my favourites so far. I love how fresh this makeup look is.
MBFWA 2016: Macgraw
Macgraw's look was really about the gorgeous billowing hair than the makeup. Hair Stylist Byron Turnbull for evo + Edwards and Co described the hair as “ the rich girl curl - so the curl every girl wants to have".
The makeup was a fresh faced and clean yet modern. Created by Alphie Sadsad for Bobbi Brown.
Looking forward to seeing the rest of the hair and makeup looks for the last few days. Which one was your favourite look?
