When I heard Dermalogica was launching a range of primers I couldn't wait to road test them, and then when I heard Makeup Artist guru Max May was collaborating with Dermalogica to create these new said primers, I needed a cool wash cloth and some smelling salts for the faint factor.
It's great to see Dermalogica setting themselves a mission to create something new, something a cut above the rest and delivering ten fold.
There are three primers in new range, one being the new Dermalogica Hydrablur Primer that has an abundance of skin benefits whilst also priming the skin for makeup. They call it "blurring the lines between skin care and cosmetics" and I like the sound of that, because why wouldn't you want your makeup application to benefit your skin?
Dermalogica's Hydrablur Primer is a really lightweight formula that I would call a cross between a primer and a pore filler. It absorbs quickly into the skin leaving an almost velvet prepped canvas ready for makeup. Your base application then goes on incredibly smooth and even, which I love, and ensures your foundation lasts forever..
Whilst it's designed for more dry or dehydrated skin, I've used it on client's with normal and even oily skin and it still preps skin and holds foundation like a dream.
